I’m here to share my story.

It’s a wild one. One I never expected. I’m not a writer or a storyteller, but this is a story that has to be told.

I thought I had what I wanted. I suppose everyone does when their life looks so perfect from the outside. The beautiful, young couple. The health and wellness retreat center built with our own two hands. The focus on healing and the search for betterment.

We were living the dream. Or so I thought.

It wouldn’t be long until I realized that the dream wasn’t what it seemed. Not even to me.

My husband committed suicide in January 2020, and my business was closed shortly after due to the pandemic. 2020 slowly dismantled my entire life, my entire self. I spent the year healing and finding my way to the light out of the dark.

I spent my year being ruptured.

This is not a story of pity. It is not one of despair. It is one of deep pain and intense rebirth. It is one of trauma and growth. Darkness and intense, bursting light.

I have to take you through it all. With me. It is the only way to fully understand what I have learned. What I want to share with you.

I must show you the darkness in order to show you the light.

I am here to share my experience of the darkest dark and finding my lightest light. I’m here to share the incredible, rejuvenating connection that exists in our world—one that we can all take as ours--and to find an experience that makes life about healing, pleasure-seeking, personal growth, and profound deeper knowing.

Stay tuned for updates and release dates for my book, Rupture.

My background

I’m Kelly King. Sometimes known as KK.

Kelly King never wanted to be a writer. Or a suicide expert. Or a guru. Or a business owner. She didn’t leave her family or the south in some search of awakening or divine intervention.

Yet, all those things came looking for her.

Kelly’s journey is one that began with a solid foundation in construction business and finance. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University, it wasn’t long before she merged her experience with her passion—interior design and entrepreneurship. After meeting and working with Frank King, they married and eventually co-founded Bliss Farm and Retreat where they focused on Kelly’s design abilities, her extensive yoga experience, her business prowess, her artistic eye, and Frank’s penchant for building, creating, cooking, and healing military veterans.

It was Blissful.

Until it wasn’t.

When Frank died by suicide and the pandemic took her business from her, Kelly’s world was turned upside down.

A rupture had come calling. And Kelly’s new journey was set to begin.
